Out With the Old by Samuel

Answers to thirteen clues are from the new. Answers to a further sixteen clues, all of which contain no definition, are from the old, although six may still be found elsewhere in the new. The wordplay in fifteen of the remaining clues leads to the answer and a superfluous letter not to be entered in to the grid; in clue order these identify the new, from which the identity of the old may be deduced.
