4032 Disorders by Phi

As expected from Phi, this was a fairly straightforward puzzle, nicely themed and with sound clues. The cryptic preamble hinted at the theme. Extra letters in word play spelled – PERSONALISED DISEASES. This made entering the jumbled entries much easier. On each row there was personalised disease, alternating between left and right side of the grid. These were CUSHING, LOU GEHRIG, ADDISON, PAGET, KAWASAKI, BRIGHT, POTT and ALZHEIMER. The unclued entry was HOSPITAL. Gregson imagines that many solvers would have been bemused by the definition of ouzo as a wine!
